Child safety standards

Last updated 9 October 2026

Kinli has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page sets out what we prohibit, how to report a concern, and what we do when we receive one. It applies to everything on Kinli, posts, replies, photos, marketplace listings, profiles and direct messages.

An adults-only service

Kinli is a referral-only community for adults. Our Terms of Service require every member to be at least 18 years old, and membership is by referral from someone already inside. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it.

What is prohibited

The following are banned on Kinli without exception:

  • Child sexual abuse material of any kind, including drawn, animated, AI-generated or otherwise synthetic imagery, and links to it.
  • Content that sexualises a child, including comments about a child’s body.
  • Grooming: contacting, befriending or building trust with a child, or with a parent or carer, in order to sexually abuse or exploit that child.
  • Sextortion, and any attempt to obtain sexual images of, or arrange to meet, a child.
  • Trafficking or the sexual exploitation of children, and any offer, advertisement or marketplace listing connected with it.
  • Sharing, requesting or trading identifying information about a child for any of the purposes above.

How to report a concern

If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact the police straight away, 999 in the UK, or your local emergency number.

To report something you have seen on Kinli:

  • In the app: open the post, reply or message, tap the “···” menu (or press and hold the message), choose Report, then choose Inappropriate content. Reports go straight to our moderation team.
  • By email: write to support@kinli.co.uk with “Child safety” in the subject. Tell us where you saw it and the name of the member or circle if you can. You can also use this address to report a member, a profile or a concern that is not tied to a single post or message.
  • To the authorities directly: in the UK you can report to CEOP (the National Crime Agency’s child protection command) at ceop.police.uk, and report child sexual abuse imagery online to the Internet Watch Foundation at report.iwf.org.uk. Outside the UK, contact your local police or national hotline.

Please do not download, screenshot, forward or share suspected abuse material, even to report it: doing so can itself be an offence. Tell us where it is and we will deal with it.

What we do when we receive a report

  • We treat child-safety reports as our highest priority and review them first.
  • We remove the content from Kinli as soon as it is confirmed.
  • We permanently ban the account responsible, and any other accounts we find connected with it. People banned for child safety reasons are not allowed back.
  • We preserve the relevant records securely, with access restricted, so they are available to law enforcement.
  • We report child sexual abuse material and child sexual exploitation to the UK National Crime Agency, and where appropriate to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and other relevant national authorities.
  • We cooperate fully with lawful requests from the police and other authorities investigating the abuse or exploitation of children.

Compliance with the law
